HARRY HEISSMANN

Harry Heissmann received his Masters of Interior Design degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany in 1995.  That same year, he realized his dream of moving to New York City after selling his prized collection of almost 200 antique cast iron Christmas tree stands, to finance his move.

Before joining the firm of Albert Hadley, Inc. (another dream of his) in 2000, he gained extensive experience working with several prominent New York interior designers.  Harry’s designs combine comfort, practicality, wit and humor, all elegantly organized to support his primary goal of satisfying the client’s needs and wishes. He cherishes the close relationships that have been built over his career – both professionally and personally – and is already working with ‘second generation’ clients.

Mr. Heissmann’s projects have included residences in Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Manhattan, Florida and California. He has contributed his talents with show houses and table settings to charity and fundraising ventures.

In the spring of 2009, Harry Heissmann Inc. was established.
Current projects include a duplex on Central Park West, a gentleman’s abode on Madison Avenue and the newest, a loft in Chelsea.

His work has been published in the New York Times, New York Magazine, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, Traditional Home and  British House & Garden. Most recently Harry has been featured in the Andrew Martin Design Review No.14.
